Description: ‘HB’ Nuremberg Eagles are found in two styles:
- ‘Flat back’ which as the name suggests has no back feathers – presumably a later produced version for quicker and cheaper construction
- ‘Feather back’ which as the name suggests has a full array of back feathers – presumably the earlier produced and higher quality versions.
Both styles can be found with a silver or bronze finish and maker marked with variations of the M3/28 markings on the rear mounting base.
Note: The ‘HB‘ Nuremberg eagle ‘Feather back’ version can also sometimes be found as a wall plaque mounted eagle.
