These, as the description suggests, were solid metal wall plaques with the stylized eagle cast into the design and often included an integral hanging device although sometimes a traditional hanging device was soldered to the rear of the plaque. These plaques could be given as awards with the dedication engraved directly onto the face of the plaque or could be purchased as a decorative or commemorative item. They could be made of Cast Iron, Bronze, White Metal or Aluminum.
