Maker: GPH

Availability: Common

The GPH eagles have two sets of markers on them. There are two known variations on where these appear – referred to as Type 1 and Type 2.

  • Type 1 has the makers mark located on the right wing (from the back).
  • Type 2 has the makers mark located on the left wing (from the back) next to the material designation.

A – Wing markings 1

These marking were all indented.

1 – Makers Mark – This mark is all indented and the letters are found within a circle. The G and P are side by side with the H centred underneath. Note the 1st example is from the right wing (Type 1) and has no material markings. The 1st example is from the left wing of another example and has the material mark next to the makers mark (Type 2).

B – Wing markings 2

1 – Material: GAL Mg Si (The composition of the material used to make the alloy – Aluminium, Magnesium, Silicon). Note the dash between GAL and Mg and Si. Note the 2nd and 3rd examples have the markers mark to the right of the material marking and are from the left wing (Type 2) whereas the 1st example does not have a makers mark next to it and is from the left wing also (Type 2).

  • These eagles had no RZA marks on them.
  • The Makers Mark is located on the right wing with no material designation on GPH Type 1 eagles.
  • The Gal-Mg-Si marking is also found next to the makers mark on the left wing on GPH Type 2 eagles.
  • The makers mark and material markings are generally not clear and often confused with other letters – GAH, GHH etc
  • An excellent example exists of this maker on the “D” and “R” lettering.
