This particular bronze eagle was created by Kurt Schmid-Ehmen and was removed by the Soviet forces at the end of the war. It was gifted/traded to the British in 1946 and is now located in the Imperial War Museum. It was rumoured that soviet soldiers traded the eagle to British soldiers for cigarettes. As can be seen in the photos it has been damaged by bullets.
