An example below is of ‘Einer der Adler für ein Dienstgebäude in Berlin‘ (‘Eagle for a public office building in Berlin‘). Iron cast, created in 1937. Height 2,30 meter, wide 2,40 meter. Depicted in the catlog of Lauchhammer, 1938.

1936 Summer olympics:

Lemcke also designed the 27 cm wood and metal torches that were produced by German manufacturer Krupp. 3,840 copies were made for the runners (over 500 more than would be needed.) The shaft of the torch featured an eagle over the Olympic rings.

In addition to the torch, Lemcke sculpted the bell that was struck as part of the opening ceremony. The bell features the inscription “Ich rufe die Jugend der Welt” (I summon the youth of the world).
