B: The maker of this style of eagle is unknown. The makers mark is a slanted and indented “B” with two horizontal lines extending to the left. The upper line is longer than the middle line and on some examples there may be a small bottom line (or dot). It is possible the lines on the left are a reverse “F” meaning the mark could be a “FB”. If true, this could possibly indicate it is a Mansfeld AG from Rothenburg/Saale (Mining & Smelting).
