V: This maker is not known, although it is believed to be possibly Vereinigte Aluminiumwerke AG (Erftwerk) located at Grevenbroich (Niederrhein).

A clue to the maker can be found in the below “V” Reichspost eagle marking found on a specimen (note a “Ʌ V” example):

The marking indicates one of:

• F Hudeg Wien
• E Hudeg Wien

Wien is German for Vienna
