Example 1:  2-3/4 inches wide

This is a Kriegsmarine Award Plaque that was awarded to the winner of a “Standort-Segel-Wettfahrten” (Area Sailing Championship). It is made of stamped metal and has a bronze finish, and measures a bit under 2-3/4 inches wide. It is dated 7. 10. 37. There are 3 holes stamped in the plaque at the corners and this style is normally mounted on a black wooden backing.

Other non-eagle examples:

This style came in silver plating and bronze: 19cm by 22cm or 20cm by 15cm. The silver one below comes from the material depot of the Kriegsmarine Des Lourdines located in the town of Migne, not far from Poitiers. its is dated 1941.

There are two bronze examples. Inscriptions: 1> “Anlerseebootsschule Lehigeng August 1939 Berlin-Zehlendorl” 2>”Offiziersanwärler – Lehrgang. April 1944. Marinekriegsschule – Mürwik”.
