The 27″ (680mm) eagle is the second most common Reichsbahn eagle in collections today. It adorned the many trains of the Third Reich and many were taken by allied veterans during and after the war as souvenirs.
The 680mm (27″) eagles were designed for use on train engines, although this was not strictly adhered to.
